Intuitive Coaching – Are You A Pavlov Dog Or A Clear Thinking Individual?
Since I am an intuitive coach, I study human psychology with excellent interest. One of my favorite case studies is Ivan Pavlov and Pavlov’s dogs.
Ivan Pavlov investigated the reflex of a dog’s salivary glands to the prospect of food under different conditions, and his results gave rise to the term Pavlov’s dogs as exemplifying the idea of conditioned reflex. Just like Pavlov’s dogs, humans also act unthinkingly to conditioning, and in several situations lack objective thought. Thus, if you see people yelling at one another you’re conditioned to think they hate one another, when in reality they love one another and love arguing with one another.
Once you see two people hugging, it doesn’t enter your mind that they could possibly be doing so reluctantly, and only since it can be the social factor to do. Like Pavlov’s dogs you’re conditioned to assume what you see is what exactly is right, and that a forest fire is destructive instead of regenerative.
Not thinking just before reacting can bring disastrous results. Sadly, it can be very typical and hurts lots of people. Don’t be one of Pavlov’s dogs, but believe objectively for your self and do not assume. Believe for your self when judging people and not from what you believe you see or other people tell you.
Being a clear thinking individual, i.e. not assuming points and not taking points out of context as a truth, will improve your life, also as those inside your life. Considering the reality that our lives take the shape of the decisions we make, if we learned how to make far better and far more informed decisions, it is both logical and intuitive to reason that the result could be a far better life.
A key component to intuitive coaching is helping an individual feel what exactly is proper in relation to generating decisions and then act on those feelings. Trusting in your self and your own capacity invariably leads to far better decisions, far better judgment and far better lives for you also as those around you.
